I am Lloyd Raine. I was born and raised on a dairy farm in southern Manitoba. After completing high school I taught school in a one room country school north of Winnipeg for one year and was planning to go on to teacher training college. However, God arrested me and redirected me to go to Bible college in Calgary Alberta. While at the Berean Bible College I met the young lady who was to become my companion for life, Hazel Winder. We were married after our second year of studies and went immediately into a pastoral ministry in Central Alberta. While serving in our second church, in Marysville, BC, we received an invitation to join a friend to teach in a Bible College in Bombay, India. In 1959 we began an adventure in missions that lasted for almost 40 years and took us to four of the major cities of India.
God gave us three beautiful children who shared our lives and ministry in India until they had completed their high school education. Now they are happily married and live in North America, two in Canada and one in Texas.
The purpose of this web site is three-fold:
1 To stimulate and motivate fellow Christians to a more personal and active involvement in world missions. Our Lord Jesus has given a great commission to carry the good news of His love to all the world. It is our responsibility and privilege to be Christ's ambassadors, to share the great gift of salvation that God has given us through His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 To provide instruction and guidance to help develop the strength of faith and character that will enable us to fulfill the purposes that He has for each of us and to effectively live our whole lives for God.
3. To give instruction and counsel in building strong and happy families. This is the primary building block of human society and provides a safe and wholesome place where our children can grow to maturity so that they will be prepared to live as good citizens and to fulfill the purposes that God has for their lives.
